Written in early 2014 at 5 am, I was freshly healing from one of the worst segments of my life's emotional integrity. The perspective of the song is essentially a message to those who turned their backs on me when I needed love, and those who only spoke kindness but never followed through with action. Two of my best friends, Luke Kelly and Chris Banks, were my room mates at the time and had truly shown me what it means to have brotherly love and kinship within your comfort zone. We made music together, we'd drink until the sun came up, we'd enjoy a pack of cigarettes over a 4 hour conversation about the many facets of life and that which lies beyond. I had many people in my life who inspired me to write this song; great friends whose actions spoke at great lengths. However, there are the adverse to these friends- To you, those who neglected me, if you're reading this, I hope life has brought you to learn the same joys as I have been blessed with. Love all.
